Two to three weeks is comfortable for a household move, and 48 hours for an airport transfer. We deliberately hold some capacity for short notice, so call us even if the date is tight — you will get an honest answer rather than a maybe.
Saturdays are normal working days for us. Sundays and bank holidays are by arrangement, and commercial moves are usually done out of hours by design. Airport transfers run around the clock when they are pre-booked.
Often, for single items and part loads. A full household move on the same day is unlikely because it needs a survey and the right crew, but ring and ask — we would rather tell you no in ten seconds than have you keep looking.
Nottingham and the surrounding towns for local work, and anywhere in mainland Britain for longer moves. Airport transfers run to eight UK airports as standard.
You get a two-hour arrival window on removals and a fixed time on transfers, plus a phone call from the crew when the van actually sets off. If we are going to be late you will hear it from us first.
Someone needs to be reachable and able to point at rooms at both ends. You do not need to stand and watch, and plenty of customers go and sort the kettle out while we load.
Yes. Used blankets and wrap leave with us on the day, and if we supplied boxes we will collect the flattened ones on a later run rather than leaving them in your hall.
Fuel, gas bottles, paint thinners and other hazardous goods cannot legally go on the van. We also ask you to carry cash, jewellery, passports and documents yourself — not because we would lose them, but because insurance will not cover them in transit.
Yes. The estimator on this site gives an indicative range; the written quote after your survey is fixed. It does not move for traffic, for the job running long, or for a flight of stairs we should have spotted.
Bank transfer is preferred and the details are on your quote and invoice. Household moves are settled on completion, and business accounts are invoiced on terms.
Not on standard bookings. On peak dates we occasionally ask for one, and we tell you at the quoting stage if that applies.
Every job carries goods in transit and public liability cover, and the certificates go out with your written confirmation. If you are moving anything unusually valuable, tell us at the survey so we can confirm the position in writing beforehand.
Tell the crew before they leave and it goes on the job sheet there and then. Claims are handled directly with us — you will not be sent to a call centre or asked to prove it three months later.
Yes, and building managers usually want them before granting out-of-hours access to commercial premises. Tell us who needs them and we will send them with our insurance certificates.
Give us the flight number when you book. Before the driver sets off we check the airport's live arrivals board, and if the landing has moved so does the collection — with no waiting charge on a flight we have the number for.
One large case and one cabin bag per passenger, comfortably. Tell us if you are carrying more than that when you book so we can plan the space rather than discover the problem at your door.
On arrivals, yes — inside the hall with a name board, so nobody is wandering a short-stay car park with a trolley. On departures we drop at the terminal doors.
Each service page carries its own set of questions — packing, flight delays, IT equipment, part loads.
Ring the yard. You get one of five people, all of whom do the actual job.
