Room by room, the bits people get wrong.
If you are packing yourself, this is the advice our crew gives on the doorstep — condensed into four rooms.
Kitchen
The heaviest room and the one that always takes longest. Use small boxes so they stay liftable, and wrap plates on their edges rather than flat — they survive far better standing up.

Load day
A three-bed move, hour by hour.
A representative timeline. Yours will differ with access and distance, but the running order does not change.
- 07:30Crew loads blankets, straps, runners and trolleys at the depot
- 08:15Call from the crew lead to say the van has set off
- 08:45Arrival, walk-through, floor runners down at the collection address
- 09:00Wrapping starts — soft items blanketed, hard edges protected
- 10:30Furniture dismantled, boxes loaded in room order
- 12:30Load strapped and checked, final sweep of every room
- 13:30Arrival at the new address, runners down, walk-through of rooms
- 14:00Boxes to labelled rooms, furniture positioned as you direct
- 16:00Beds and wardrobes reassembled
- 16:45Packaging removed, walk-through with you, sign off
