We price from a survey, not a guess. The figure we confirm in writing is the figure you pay, even if the day runs long.

The crew is sized at the survey — two for a flat, three for a family house, four when there are stairs at both ends.

Every soft item gets a blanket and shrink wrap, every hard edge gets a corner protector, and floors get runners before we start walking.

We measure the load at the survey. If it needs two vans we send two vans, and we say so before you book.

We hold the load at the Alfreton Road depot overnight or over a weekend, then deliver as soon as you have keys.

Room-labelled loading
Boxes are labelled by destination room before they go on the van, so unloading puts them where they belong first time.

Awkward access
Third-floor walk-ups, narrow Victorian staircases, tight lanes with no parking. Tell us at the survey and we plan for it.

Moving half a house, or one room out of a shared place? You pay for the space you use, not a full van.

Bridging storage
Short-term storage between completions at the depot, with your load kept wrapped and on its own pallets.

General questions about booking, insurance and payment are on the questions page.
Soft contents like clothes and bedding can stay in chests of drawers — we move them as they are. Anything heavy, fragile or loose needs to come out, and wardrobes need to be emptied so they can be dismantled safely.
Tell us as soon as you know. If it slips by a day or two we'll usually shuffle the booking at no charge, and if the keys are late on the day itself we can hold the load at the depot overnight rather than leaving you stuck on a driveway.
Sometimes — it depends on the instrument, the access and the weight. Mention it at the survey and we'll either quote for it or tell you honestly that it needs a specialist, rather than finding out on the day.
As a rough guide, allow around 15 boxes per bedroom plus 10 for the kitchen. We'd rather drop off too many and take the spares back than leave you short the night before.
