Before the numbers
Removals pricing has a reputation for being deliberately vague. It is not complicated — it is volume, distance, access, how much packing you want done, and the date.
How much van space the load takes. A three-bed house of light furniture costs more to move than a one-bed of heavy furniture, because space is the constraint.
Local moves inside Nottingham carry no mileage charge. Past that it is a flat rate per mile, both legs included.
Stairs without a lift, long carries from the van, or a street with no parking all add crew time. This is why we survey.
Wrapping furniture is always included. Boxing up your kitchen is optional, and it is the single biggest thing you can do yourself to bring the price down.
Fridays and month-ends are when everybody completes. Mid-week and mid-month have more availability, and we would rather fill those days.

The difference between these is how much of the packing you do. The care standard and the insurance are identical.

Everything boxed by you before the day. We wrap the furniture, load, drive, unload and place.

The complete household move. We handle the furniture end to end, including taking it apart and putting it back together.
Hands off entirely
We arrive the day before and pack the house. You keep working, and everything is boxed, labelled, moved and unpacked into rooms.
“From” prices are for a local move inside our 8-mile included radius. Your written quote is fixed after a survey.
One fixed fare per vehicle, up to four passengers. Additional passengers and out-of-hours runs are on the rate card opposite.

Money questions
No, and we are deliberate about that. It is an indicative range worked out from distance and load size in your browser. The fixed price comes after a survey, because a ten-minute look at the actual stairs is worth more than any calculator.
Not on household moves. Hourly pricing rewards a slow crew, which is exactly the wrong incentive. You get a fixed figure for the job, and if it takes us longer than we thought that is our cost to carry.
Not on standard bookings — you pay on completion. We may ask for one on peak dates like the last Friday of the month, and if we do we will say so when we quote rather than at the last minute.
To confirm: VAT position.
If we got the survey wrong, we absorb it. If the load has genuinely grown — an extra room's worth of belongings, a garage nobody mentioned — we will talk to you before touching anything and agree a revised figure.
